Leslie Crashes Ted and Nicole’s Anniversary Party — Is the Truth *Finally* Coming Out?
Thursday, May 1, 2025: Today on Beyond the Gates, Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party finally arrives, Dani and Andre have an awkward talk about their relationship, and Leslie pulls the trigger on her master plan.
Will Leslie (with yet another wig, we assume) succeed in her plan to destroy the happy couple on their big night, or will someone — perhaps a daughter with shifting alliances — thwart her nefarious plot?
Leslie isn’t sure herself, so she challenges Eva to swear her loyalty once and for all: “Are you with me, little girl, or are you against me?”
“With you,” Eva replies reluctantly. “Always.”
But things get real when it comes time to leave for the party. Eva makes one last appeal to Leslie, but it’s no use. She’s excited for the rush, likening it to a rollercoaster ride: “You’re scared to death, sure you’re going to die,” she says. (This woman is clearly high on her own supply at this point.)
The Beginning… of the End
Meanwhile, Ted and Nicole are getting ready for their big night with a pre-party gift exchange; he even gives her a necklace designed to match the earrings he gave her the night Kat was born. What a lovely way to begin what will soon become the worst night of her life!
Ted and Nicole are also the topic of conversation at Vernon and Anita’s, where Kat explains that her high standards are a result of her parents’ strong marriage.
Kat explains that those high standards recently came in handy when Tomás asked her to do so something (aka convincing Naomi to drop her lawsuit against Bill) that made her uncomfortable.
Are Dani and Andre Ready to Go Public?
Dani is also excitedly prepping for her sister’s anniversary party. And even though she has Andre in her bedroom, her mind still wanders back to Bill, remembering a similar night when they were getting ready for a big event as husband and wife.
She and Andre then accidentally stumble into a talk they weren’t expecting to have tonight: Are they OK with the family finding out that they’re together? Neither Dani nor Andre seem particularly opposed to the idea, but Dani suggests they “table” the discussion for now.
“Table, bed, floor, wall — I’m flexible,” he replies. (This man!)
Their flirting continues at the party, but Dani begins to worry that Andre is taking too many pictures of her. “People will get suspicious,” she tells him, all but confirming that she’s not ready to go public just yet.
(And that’s too bad, because Andre also shares a flirty moment with Eva at the party. If Dani isn’t willing to do a hard launch, perhaps Eva would be happy to take her place.)
As Kat Closes In, Leslie Goes Rogue
Upon arriving at the country club, Leslie asks Eva to lock her in a supply closet, where she’ll lay low until the time is right. Like all of Leslie’s plans, Eva is 100% unsure about this one, but she goes along with it anyway.
Meanwhile, Kat is out for blood, combing every corner of the hallway for the “mystery woman” (aka Leslie). “She’s probably wearing a dollar store wig, looking shifty,” Kat says.
Chelsea tells her cousin that she’s overreacting, but Kat won’t get off Eva’s back. She even barges into the closet where Eva is stashing Leslie, only to discover… she’s not there!
Where did Leslie go, you ask? Why, she’s spying on Ted and Nicole, of course — and she’s suddenly dressed to kill. Well, she’s dressed to kill a marriage, anyway.
Leslie Turns on Eva
Then comes the moment Eva officially switches sides: Ted and Nicole don’t want to lose her, so they offer to pay for her to train to work at Ted’s practice. And this is after Dani basically offers her a modeling contract. It’s quite a night for Eva!
“No one has ever been this generous to me,” she says, to which Ted replies, “It’s easy to be nice to good people.” (Aww!)
That’s when Eva tells Leslie that the jig is up. “We don’t have to humiliate Ted and Nicole,” she explains. “We don’t have to force them to accept me. They like me! Ted is a good man, and I know he will forgive me.”
But Leslie has no time for her daughter’s nonsense, so she locks her in the closet and sashays over to the dining room. Eva’s cries are eventually heard by Ted’s friend Carlton, who manages to free her before Leslie drops any major bombs.
(Come to think of it, Nicole tells Carlton that the perfect woman for him might just be at the party. While she’ll probably try to set him up with Dani, could Eva be his actual match?)
Leslie Makes Her Move
That’s when the real fun begins: Eva busts into the dining room, insisting that Ted and Nicole must leave immediately, but she’s too late — Leslie is already hot on her heels.
“It would be a shame to pull the plug when the party is just getting started,” Leslie says as she slowly saunters into the room. Nicole is understandably confused, especially when Ted refers to her as Dana. (“How many names does she have?!” Nicole asks.)
“Why don’t you tell her how you know me, Teddy?” Leslie says, calling for some smelling salts or a defibrillator — because Nicole is going to need both when the truth comes out.
